" I was made to feel very comfortable from the beginning by each staff member. Everyone made it a point that I would understand each step in the process. The technician who took all the readings on my eyes was very competent, explaining what she was measuring on each step in the process very clearly. And Dr. Irshad explained my options for surgery and answered all my questions fully and made me feel I’m in the right place!

" I have been going to 8118 Dental Professionals for years. I take care of my teeth but things happen. I’ve had fillings, tooth restoration, bite assessment, crowns, extractions, implant crowns, and night guards here. This is a long-time proven local dental practice. My dentist Dr. Deutsch is skillful and knows his practice. The staff and dental assistants are also professional and trained. Today, Dr. Deutsch and dental assistant Maggie did a procedure that went well. I like how Dr. Deutsch explains my treatment options and fully answers my questions. This is important to me. Another plus, this practice keeps up with the technology and learning necessary to provide the best dental treatment/care. With dental care, you want a quality dentist and office—like 8118 DP.

Dr. Golosko explained the entire procedure prior to the surgery and answered all of my questions. She made me completely at ease and the procedure went through without a hitch.

Very quick check in process. Shirt wait time, person doing eye exam was very good, polite and obviously well trained. Exam room itself posed a challenge since I'm in a wheel Chair. Transfer made made easier when they found out how to raise the right arm of chair. One exam room wide enough the second not so. Felt that every need was accommodated from tissues to trash cabs to clean wipe solution Told gurl at front desk how grateful I was. "

" Dr Irshad is absolute tops! The unknown brings stress and worry. Dr Irshad diagnosed me with cataracts and Fuchs dystrophy. I listened to his recommendation on how to remedy. His details in how the surgerys would happen, what to expect, and how I would feel really lessened the stress and on point. Most exciting however, was removing the last eye surgery patch and the next day seeing colors so vivid and being able to read highway signs well before I passed under them. Dr Irshad gave me my vision back and a life I was so missing. Thanks Doc! "

" Generally excellent care, although the haste of all the appointments is apparent and sometimes limits conversation. I only learned during this final appointment that there may be post-op scarring from the cataract surgery, down the line. I'm not alarmed by the prospect -- Dr. Prosise assured me that it can be readily remedied -- but it seems that should be something I was informed of at the beginning of the process. All in all, I have been pleased with the Clinic care, but somewhat disheartened by the haste of the entire process from beginning to end. I realize y'all do many of these procedures and they are routine for you, but for the patients they are not routine at all, and a little less haste in personal interactions seems optimum. "

" I did have some trouble getting the initial consultation, but I have no idea at which end the ball was dropped, my GP or Eye Clinic of Austin. I did not receive the videos explaining the procedures I needed to consider until after my appointment. If I had received them prior to my appointment, perhaps it might have prevented Carrie from getting so frustrated with me. Phone calls are not always returned in a prompt manner so I am going into the procedure with questions that I’d prefer be answered in plenty of time before the surgery; however, the ladies at the front desk & the sweet lady who did most of my eye tests couldn’t have been more delightful to interact with when I was there. Dr. Irshad is a bit robotic but if he does a good job then I can live with that. I do think some of the staff either is not aware or doesn’t care how easily a patient facing eye surgery can become wary of the procedures & appear quite anxious. I am hoping I can write a raving review post op! "

" The only issue was with the explanation for dilation. I asked scheduling specifically if the doctor had requested dilation with drops so I could plan with my partner to go with me. I have had dilation on prior occasions and have a difficult time seeing afterward, unable to drive home. She assured me that I had a choice of photos or dilation, so opted for the photos, which was $59 extra. When I arrived, the medical assistant stated Dr. Prosise had asked for drop dilation and I have to do it when I pick up my contacts. "

You provide no water, coffee, tea or snacks in the waiting area.
You need to make a better effort in making it clear which windows a new comer needs to go to when first entering the clinic area,

" My wife first went to Dr Irshad for Lasik surgery and cataract removal. Her next visit was to this clinic to see Dr Prosise for follow up visits. The experience was so positive, that I decided to switch to this practice. My eye exams will be at this location going forward. And should I ever need cataract surgery Dr Irshad will take care of it.

" I have always felt the care at Eye Clinic of Austin is very good, and have used the clinic for years
and recommended it to others. However, recently I did
have a disappointing experience. The glasses prescription I got this past
Spring was not correct.
Since ECOA has limited stock of frames, I had gotten my initial pair of
glasses made elsewhere. When I returned to the clinic yesterday to get a recheck,
the staff admitted there had been an error made on my prior prescription.
However, new lenses will cost me $850 as I used my annual VSP discount on the
“incorrect” prescription. I’m frustrated because I spent $500
on the incorrect glasses and can’t afford another pair at that price right now.
No one is offering me any type of discount or refund.
I will have to wait until next year when I can again apply my VSP.
I would have appreciated some sort of compensation. "

" I have been coming here for a few years now. The MA was very good. She took time in each step to ensure each test was done correctly, and was very friendly.
Dr. Irshad went over my results and gave good recommendations for my further care, including referrals to other doctors for vision problems that were not caused by eye structural problems. He did seem a bit rushed and a little rehearsed in his manner, but that may have been because the appointment was at 7:45am.
Overall, I am very happy with my care here!

" I would have appreciated a written brochure or a printed piece of paper explaining about the removal of scar tissue left from the removal of my cataracts by Dr. Henderson. I had never even heard of this concept and had to go home and look it up on the internet. What about the other 83-year-olds who can’t find the information on their own. It was fully explained when I called the office manager and again a few minutes before the procedure. Nobody should have to worry about the words “your eyes, “scar tissue,” and “laser” and have to go home and wonder about it. I will be happy to write a one paragraph hand-out for distribution to Dr. Irshad’s patients, or perhaps his wife could do the job as Dr. Henderson’s wife did over the years. People are very frightened when they don’t know. Information is power— power to alleviate anxiety. It was a painless process for me and I didn’t need to fret about it. That anguish could have been alleviated with a few words. "

" My 91 year old Mother has been seeing Dr. Irshad over the past few months for complications with a swollen cornea. Dr. Irshad has been able to get her to a place where this has been resolved and continues to monitor her to make sure she has the best possible vision. Since she is in Assisted Living, his staff has to email the nurse practitioner to relay all instructions on her continuing care with prescriptions and eye drops; and they always do this immediately so there is no confusion. The nurse practitioner at her community even mentioned to me that she wished all Drs. offices were as timely and on top of things. I am very happy with Dr. Irshad and his staff. "

Well she explained it to me, and told me it took her about 6 months for her to readjust after her surgery. It was an altogether unexpected explanation, and now I feel better about it. "

Dr. Henderson treated my severely diabetic mother and helped her keep her vision for a few more years until she passed away 5 years ago. Dr. H. also did my lasik surgery many years ago (Dr. Prosise had just started working there at the clinic). And last year y’all did my husbands cataract surgery.

" The wait time was maybe 30 minutes?, but I’ve seen wait times in the hours with other doctors so I come prepared. All of the staff were great. Dr. Irshad is your go-to doctor for everything from basic to unusual eye problems. If he can’t find what’s wrong with your eyes, nobody can. Per testing, I’ve never seen a clinic better equipped. I had severe dry eye which was treated into exile, & I got a thorough general eye health assessment including what conditions might arise in the future and how to recognize the symptoms if they do. Lastly their prescription process is seamless - one med was not covered by my insurance, another one was called in within minutes. "

Dr. Irshad had was also very polite and took the time to explain everything concerning my eyes. He did not rush in and out of the room. He made sure I was comfortable with him as well as what he was explaining to me. I very much appreciated how thorough, respectful, and professional he was.
My appt was at 8:00. I was walking out by 8:45. Less than an hour for the whole experience!
I would definitely recommend to anyone needing a positive eye experience!

eye drops that would be needed for pre opp. . The messaging
was Insurance covers - 3 bottles of drops to use, we have one
