The lab Technician Jeremiah was kind and gentle and very professional, I did not feel any pain at all during my blood draw. Every one in the office look neat, and professional, and clean. " Dr. Sanchez is the most thorough and conscientious Nephrologist I have ever gone to. I am at Advanced Stage 4 CKD & he is the first Nephrologist who gives me hope that just because I am at that level, it doesn’t necessarily mean that I can’t live a good life & be in fear every day that I will need dialysis or be placed on the kidney transplant list any time soon. He doesn’t rush through the lab results. He explains in detail everything about the electrolytes, metabolic panel, etc. He is so knowledgeable. I asked him why in the world did he ever want to become a Nephrologist because the complexity of understanding the kidney function is so complicated & most everyone he deals with comes to him because they are very sick & how does he feel about that. His response was “I love being a Nephrologist and every patient is so different that it makes me feel good that I can be there to support them through the challenges with the knowledge I have about the disease”. Need I say more? "

" Dr Rondla is at the top of her game. She saved my kidney from major surgery when a 20 minute ablation was all that was needed. Emory thought I had cancer but the suspect tumor proved to be benign. I strongly suggest that anyone who has been told they need kidney surgery contact her especially if the tumor in question is small and localized. Her associate , Dr Kang, at Gwinnett Medical Northside is the interventional Radiologist that does the procedures. Great folks all in all!! "

" I had an in-office visit scheduled with Dr. Paxton at 9:40 AM. All appointments/notifications are supposed to be made on my landline. Dr Paxton had an emergency and the appointment needed to be rescheduled. The staff chose to call my mobile at 8:30 AM instead of the landline as requested. I did not leave my house until 8:50 AM so I would have received the message. I drove 75+ miles round trip. This is the third time this has happened. I requested they remove the mobile number so to insure that they call the number that I indicate on the yearly forms. Even though I continue to have "major issues" with the office staff following office protocol, billing appropriate amounts, etc, I would still recommend Dr. Paxton at the excellent level due. My condition has stabilized and he has extensive experience with several of my other conditions and has been able to offer other suggestions to my other specialists that resulted in substantial improvements in my other conditions. " I had issues with the STAFF (Only) regarding following Dr. Press’s instructions. They had not entered my orders for blood work or a Prescription Order to my Pharmacy. Which meant I had to do the follow up myself to get this done. After questioning the staff and explaining the Dr’s orders, I had to wait while verification was done on the blood work order, then entered into the system. I had to call back about my prescription because Nothing had been called in for me to my Pharmacy. In addition a test was ordered by Dr Press and I STILL have NOT received any calls to schedule it (from where they were suppose to send this order). Now I must Once Again follow up with the office on this test order and make sure the order is sent. I worked in a hospital, so I know the responsibility of doing this follow up work is staff responsibility. If I had not questioned this with the staff and did my OWN follow up None of these Dr’s Orders would have been completed. "

Several yrs. ago my brother was at NGHS ended up in ICU and they prepared him to have dialysis, however they did not, they released him when he was not treated for the original reason he went to the hospital. Two nights later he was rushed to Gwinnett Hospital, Dr. Paxton was one of the many doctors that treated him, Dr. Paxton got his kidneys to a normal status, that is a 1 for creatinine, where it was as high as 5 at NGHS. She had reviewed lab results sent by my PCP and explained what she saw and how we would proceed with treatment. She answered all of my questions and I felt she gave me a lot of time to discuss what is going on. She ordered some more labs to be done at her office . She will call me with those results and I will see her in two months for follow up unless labs show something that needs to be addressed earlier. I felt this was just as good as a regular in office appointment. She will also request records from my urologist so she can review and see what else has been done. There was also an error on my medical history that I observed on the web portal. I sent an e-mail and it was fixed right away. I got a phone call letting me know that it was corrected, which I really appreciated. On a follow-up visit for an ultrasound, I also got in for my appointment right on time and the medical technician that gave me the ultrasound was terrific. All in all, a very good experience for my first-time at this practice. I'd recommend it highly. "

When I couldn’t get in to see a Neurologist at Emory until February 2020 he asked if I was open to seeing a different Neurologist and if I could go to Northside, I replied sure and if it is someone you already know and can work with that’s all the better. He then got out his phone and called Dr. Sakib Quereshi and arranged for him to reach out to me. Before I got home Dr. Quereshi’s Office had called with 2 dates in the next 2 weeks that I could see him. Most doctors won’t go out of their way like that to help you. "

" Was referred by a family member to Georgia nephrology directly to Dr tumlin... The care and service difference is worth my 3-4 hour drive.. Since coming to Dr tumlin for treatment my advanced condition has become treatable and is very well managed by him and the research center coordinators directly I'm treated on a personal level and can contact who I need to including the doctor directly anytime without hassle something I did not have period at the 3 other clinics I used prior to Georgia nephrology. Not to mention my condition has went from being near death out of control bound for dialysis or a heartattack/stroke with horrible lab numbers to a dormant for the most part very manageable disease prior to 11 doctors couldn't even regulate my blood pressure so to say the least I'm very pleased by the service and outcome of my treatment thus far and will be continuing to make the drive which is the only downside of the whole deal for me... Highly recommend the research department to anyone with IGA neuropathy no doubt there's risk and downsides to all research treatment blind studies ect but this group of people are very professional care and keep a very close eye on research folks for me it took me from 7400 protein weep to under 300 in 12 weeks nothing short of a miracle, I may be a rare case but the fact stands they have to have folks for research to get FDA approved treatment for people with kidney disease out there the current diagnosis of kidney disease with a no cure end note is a long term torture session for dialysis patients especially and a worry list for those waiting for transplant..Step up people and help this group of people fight for cures it may not benefit you directly but it will benefit a path to a cure!!! "
