" I have been going to MRT Associates for close to 50 years. I am blessed the day Dr. Tien joined this practice. If it were not for Dr. Tien's willingness to take on the challenge of my eye issues, his expertise, his thorough care and treatment, his incredible knowledge of the eye and the most up to date practices, i could possibly be blind in my left eye. Dr. Tien has always been kind, considerate and professional and always takes his time explaining exactly what is happening with my eye and the various treatment plans he recommends in the way I can understand. In my eyes (no pun intended) Dr Tien is a miracle worker. I can never thank you enough, Dr. Tien, for taking such exceptional care of my eyes! "

" Excellent care is always provided by the staff and Dr. Thode. My only complaint would be the delay in being called in to my appointment (~40-45 minutes). However, while waiting I overheard the individual working in the glasses fitting area helping various clients. He is an excellent employee! His kindness, patience and overall attitude with each customer could be a seminar on how to provide good customer service. "

The front desk staff are very welcoming & very efficient.
The medical assistants and Dr. Thode have that same demeanor as well as great knowledge and skills.
I have felt heard.
Buying glasses continues with the same welcoming experience as well as the help and skill that is needed when considering the pros/cons of a particular style of new glasses.
May I also add that nowhere - front desk, exam rooms or glasses area - have I felt rushed. "

" Your new scheduling system is disingenuous or somewhat misleading. Or as the Brits like to say in the NHS (disaster) - we have a duty of care. Well maybe not so much at least in re scheduling an annual visit due to Diabetes II.
In the past I could schedule my next appointment in about one year. Now one can only go out nine months. Tammy (very nice and professional even when I was boorish) explained this clearly and informed me I’d get contacted in February 2027 to schedule my “one year” checkup.
Now me being a sharp cookie concluded that makes no sense because that puts me in October based on the new nine months policy. So in essence it’s no longer a 12-13 month checkup, but now a 15 month checkup or longer. I asked Tammy if this was explained to patients who expected an annual or 12-13 month checkup. She said no. Duty of Care?
Tammy very nicely explained that I’d need to call in November to hopefully get a July-August appointment. "
