" This is a big deal so I want you to know- I have been to many doctors offices in my time and this is by far the best experience I have ever had. From the time I walked in to the time I left it was such a great experience. I was a bit worried before my appointment because my wife has had some pretty poor experiences with other doctors that fall under the Valley umbrella but Valley Foot and Ankle did an outstanding job and renewed my faith in the Valley system. My advice would be to have folks from your other offices shadow people at this clinic to learn how to really try take care of a pa try ie T. Thank you Valley foot and ankle! "

" Dr. Robertson has been instrumental in "problem solving" my problem feet. We are working together to figure out the proper padding so I can stay on my feet for the 9 hours a day I work on concrete. He listens attentively and suggests ways to allow my feet to be more comfortable throughout the day. As I am over 65, the metatarsal support in my feet is waning and I feel like i am walking on bones... which I am. First, finding padding solutions that can be turned into orthotics is our current plan. The Dr and his assistant Linda were great! Thank you!!! "

" Yesterday’s visit to go over test results could have and should have been done via a phone call or zoom office visit. I realize billing insurance for an office visit is how you get compensated for your services, however a Tele-visit is also billable and would have saved all of us considerable time and inconvenience, especially since I had to travel from Bonney Lake to Renton and my return trip home put me in the middle of rush hour traffic. "

I have learned how to better care for my feet whether it's pain relief or tools to ensure longevity of my feet (orthotics, shoes, taping, etc.). I thank Dr. R. for educating me on melanoma that can occur under the nail bed. I had no idea until he took a sample of one of mine. Luckily, it was benign and just a Morton toe. :) However, now I know to check my toe nails. I always recommend VF&A to anyone looking for foot pain relief in addition to preventative and long term maintenance. Thank you! "

" My first appointment with Dr. Carlis was held via Zoom for exploring the treatment of a morton's neuroma. I live in Western Montana and have been to three local podiatrists. After trying orthotics, neuroma pad inserts, injections of a steroid and at another time a numbing agent by a pain mgmt specialist, I have exhausted the local options other than surgery. I found ultra sound guided RFA by online searching and wish to try that before excision surgery as it is far less invasive and leaves less scar tissue. There seem to be only a few providers in the United States who can do the US guided RFA. Dr. Carlis took the time to explain how he performs the ablation and answered all of my questions. The office staff was understanding when I needed to set up the follow up appointment the day before the procedure since I have a ten hour drive from Hamilton, MT to Renton, WA. I am reassured by the overwhelmingly positive reviews left by other patients. "
